Meredith Heiner, Au.D.

Dr. Meredith Heiner graduated from James Madison University with an undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders (2008), and a Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (2012).  Dr. Heiner also obtained a post baccalaureate certificate in Disability Leadership through the Virginia Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (VA-LEND). She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology, and is licensed to practice Audiology by the state of Virginia. Dr. Heiner's areas of interest include newborn hearing screening, pediatric neurophysiology, cochlear implants, and pediatric hearing aids.  She has been with VCU Health System since 2011.  

Dr. Heiner has been instrumental in setting up the hands-on cochlear implant experience for JMU students at VCU. She has also served on JMU dissertation committees as an external member. When Dr. Heiner is not working with her patients, she enjoys music, traveling, and keeping up with her two year old daughter.
