On October 1st, 2017, the JMU chapter of SAA hosted the 2017 White Coat. The ceremony is held annually to celebrate the first year doctor of audiology students and welcome them into the profession.  This year's Key Note speaker was Dr. Melissa Garber, Au.D., who spoke about her experiences as an audiologist and how new clinicians have the opportunity to play a part in and shape patients’ lives.  She offered encouraging advice for the students and their respective families.
